Great words of Wisdom – the GIFT By Joy Wisdom

Have you ever thought we were supposed to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one so when finally able to meet the right person we know how to be grateful for the gift. It is true we don’t realise the gifts we receive until we lose them. That includes people that support and hold our hands on our spiritual and life journey.

The lesson of love is long and there are many levels to learn, seven in fact. And individuals can be learning all seven levels, achieved in different percentages and ignored, stuck on the treadmill on others. Levels of love are taught in Power-of-3 programme, one of the hardest level is to learn is to love and nurture self, conscious enough not to put ourself in risky relationships or situations. Learn how to be savvy in love. Two levels that often remain in replay is physical and mental love, distracted by power, ego, victim and distrust when people let us down.  A common default behaviour is to hunker down, missing the learning, entrapped in mistrust, disconnected from life and bigger picture learning. It can become a lonely and cold place to live.

The old adage says when the door of happiness closes another opens, however when hurt, mesmerised by hurt looking longingly at the closed door, opportunities pass us by, missing the lesson and bigger picture of love, tolerance and compassion. Building courage to start again, when mesmerised by hurt, ignoring new door/s opening, new love and happiness, blindly entrapped in literal living and loss.

In spiritual awakening we don’t know what we have been missing until it arrives! The realisation of letting go of our past mistakes, failures and heartaches makes way for us to receive new opportunities, liberating insights and self-nurturing. Realising we should appreciate life and those around us, especially those we love. Letting them know they are loved every day. The gift is acknowledging them for who they are and being grateful for being involved in our lives.

We have to take part in the dance to know how it feels to be held and enjoy the warmth and comfort. When we keep ourselves in our castle disconnected from life, the partaking of the dance is lost. It is better to have had the dance than not at all. The memories may be mixed, but you have had an experience that remains learning love. The experience where you sat on the porch, enjoying each other’s company, saying nothing, yet the best conversation ever had! Those times and memories are priceless, sacred and special, cherished and salted away as positive and loving experiences. A time where you learnt a lot and jumped hurdles in savvy experience.

Giving someone our love is not a guarantee that they will love us back. One of the biggest lessons in life is don’t expect…. Especially don’t expect love in return.

Wait and allow it to grow in nurture and nature, allow it to grow in their heart. Love and bonding takes time. It takes different timeframes for each of us, as they feel confident and trustful to let someone special into their heart. They too may be cautious, sensitive, been hurt, let down. Your experiences are not isolated to you. Others experience similar lessons in life. It is how we deal with those interactions, how savvy, did we try the dance?  Or did we reject the dance, the interaction to protect ourselves? Our choice brings different outcomes. The lesson is if love does not grow in their heart, be content it grew in yours.  Enjoy life, enjoy the dance.
