Overview: Birth Trauma Globally birth trauma happens daily! Birth trauma has been around for decades. Misunderstood and not acknowledged as a problem. Birth trauma comes from quick and long complicated births. Intervention such as C-Section, Forceps and Vontau assisted birth. Mother and baby can both be affected. Partners can be in shock from the unexpected birth events.Birth trauma is involved with complex trauma equivalent to having a car crash. PTSD is involved. Long term physical and mental health/behaviour issues can result. Joy is an expert on birth trauma and been treating mothers and babies for 2 decades. Trains professionals in Birth trauma and the consequences from cause and effect.
